Completed year of SOX testing and want to go for the CISA 2291

  • Hi there,
I have just completed just over year of SOX testing for my company as an internal auditor. I traveled globaly performing the IT Auditing tests.
Now I am planning on taking the CISA Exam in June.
Just wanted any advice on materials and is it wise to go for the exam in June or should I go for the exam in December.
    Kind Regards
    Carlos
    🙂

  • You can start with CISA review manual and Q-and-A booklet from ISACA. How much more would depend on how comfortable you find yourself with the material provided in the CISA review manual.
Look for CISA review courses conducted by the local ISACA chapter. They classes are conducted in weekend and they are pretty pocket friendly too.
June or Dec, would depend on the time that you can spare for study. If you can spare 1 hour each day from March08 onwards you should be fine.
Also look for eligibility requirements for experience.

  • Thank- you Calvin,
For your response. I have already started studying so hoping to go through the manual a couple of times before the exam.
Just need to get hold of some tests.
But thank you for the advice will look at doing a course soon.

  • I am in seach of SOX training seminars, workshops, etc. in or near Florida; any recommendations? Need ASAP.
