question about Wireless Timecards andemployee validation 2736

  • There are numerous tools on the market for mobile workers to clock in and out on their wireless phones. Their location and time stamped info can be viewed by back office administrators or sent to third party payroll providers like ADP for payroll rules to be applied and checks issued. My question is, does SOX require that these mobile employees sign off on their time card info at the end of a pay period or does the fact that they logged in and submitted the info themselves suffice? Admins review the timecards before payroll is issued but the employee may or maynot see their timecard info in the form of a report prior.

  • No, SOX does not require this.
