Sarbanes Oxley Analyst & Accountant
Progressive, well-established Alaska company seeks experienced SOX Analyst/Accountant to join dynamic, collaborative team. Must have experience handling complex SOX compliance issues at a publicly traded company with strong GL background preferred. Work across multiple departments to improve SOX compliance process and procedures. Responsible for company-wide compliance to include documentation, business processes and internal controls. Design and perform tests and walk-throughs to assess operational effectiveness and evaluate results. Also support GL function and assist with special projects as needed. Position functions as integral member of accounting group and works heavily with department heads, senior management team and collaborates with external SOX auditors. Exceptional team of high performers valuing work-life balance.
Must have experience in a publicly traded company working with complex SOX compliance. Need bachelor’s degree in accounting, five years progressively responsible GL accounting, external and/or internal audit experience; CPA ideal. Strongest candidates will have mix of audit and GL experience. Need minimum of one year audit experience and ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of internal controls with COSO and COBIT preferred. Must also demonstrate strong knowledge of technical accounting procedures and GAAP with outstanding analytical and problem solving skills. Oracle experience very helpful. Be self-starter with good organizational skills, time management and track-record of meeting deadlines. Need to be willing to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines. Also need to have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player. Department is cohesive group; looking professional with desire to succeed who can add to performance level rather than detract. Salary $80K+ along with excellent benefit package.
