I am a CPA with a varied background in public and private accounting. I would like to break into SOX compliance work, preferably in Orange or San Diego counties, California. Can someone give me some tips on how to get some experience in this area.
Enrol for CISA and join one of the Big Four in their SOX practice. This will give you a great experience in the SOX best practices and with variety of industries as the big 4 will be doing the SOX audits of their clients and are not restricted to one client or one industry.
