Requirements for filing external SOX audit results? 437
-
Hi all,
I work for a smaller, regional CPA firm and we are going to be doing some external SOX audits, in addition to our consultative SOX reviews we do for other clients.
Does anyone know the format/requirements for how results of the exteral auditors’ reviews are to be communicated, and to whom…i.e., PCAOB, SEC, etc…
Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.

Jeez, shouldn’t you know that already?
Anyway, I would have thought your first port of call would be AICPA and/or SEC.
You’ll find real life filings on EDGAR

Hello Holger and Denis,
Actually I have a question regarding the basic format itself.
We all are aware that neither the SOX Act nor the SEC have prescribed any kind of reporting format.
Can anyone of you could just give me brief idea of how the report looks like. I am fully aware that there cannot be a standardised format as it will vary from company to company. But i would like to just have a outline of how i can draft a SOX compliance report.
Does any one of you know of any company who has reported its financial results giving adequate compliance on the SOX aspect??
Thanx…
