Strong passwords and Web apps? 856

Our developers are complaining about problems using strong passwords, especially characters, in web based apps. They are saying that the special characters don’t work on web apps - has anyone else heard this?

You can have problems with them, but you need not.
You can build web apps with support for Unicode which should allow most special characters
