SOD Template/Matrix 1907

  • I’ve searched through some of the older postings here for a somewhat generic Separation of Duties template/matrix. I looked at the one from ISACA, but it is actually a little TOO generic.
What I’m looking for would be something like this:
    X axis = job title/user
Y axis = a wide array of job functions; particularly as they pertain to the security of an application such as Oracle.
If any of you have put something like this together, I would certainly appreciate a little insight or assistance. I realize that the template may not be applicable to ALL applications, but it would at least provide me with a starting point. Thanks for your help.

  • Surely someone has something that they can share?

  • I sent an email your way with an example of how this can be set up. Let me know if it is what you were looking for.

  • HI Kymike,
Can you please share that with me as well? I am currently breaking my heads on how to prepare an SOD for IT. In my company, roles are not fixed and people have shared roles and responsibilities. Arriving at an agreeable SOD is getting pretty difficult. The job descriptions also state the shared responsibilities.
I have the CISA CRM SOD, but its too generic. Would appreciate your help.
    THanks
    Hari.

  • Technor,

  • Kymike,
Could I also have a copy of the matrix? Do you also have something that explains the risks? Thank you.

  • Hi,
Some additional SoD resources (for SAP) can be found at:
    http : // freeitsolutions dot com/fsol/sap/segregationofduties.html
Links to duties conflicts may be found at the bottom of the page and the duties conflicts identify a risk associated with each incompatible function.
    Hope this further helps,
    Milan
