My firm is looking for a sunny Phoenix-based person to work on a 3 month (possibly longer) contract in Tempe AZ.
Typically works on one large project at a time or on subsets of a larger project, sometimes as a project team member, often as a project leader. Works on moderately to highly complex projects that require skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines, and support one or more of the multiple business units supported by IS. Responsible for participating in projects to refine business requirements; designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing information systems; and providing necessary maintenance and support for these systems. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: *Facilitating or participating in regular project status meetings. Maintaining open communication with project team, clients, and when applicable, external vendors. *Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with external vendors providing projects or services utilized by the organization. *Developing test plans for systems integration and user acceptance testing. *Testing and implementing systems that have been developed or modified, ensuring the solution meets the needs of the client and business. *Providing recommendations on how to integrate hardware and software solutions. *Providing ongoing maintenance of systems previously involved with. *Providing second-tier, and sometimes third-tier support within areas of expertise. *Creating and managing system documentation for those systems developed or modified. *Keeping up-to-date on industry trends and technology advances. Typically requires at least four years of programming and systems analysis experience and knowledge of multiple programming languages, multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and database management systems. Demonstrates high or broad level industry knowledge. Associates/Bachelor’s degree in programming/systems or computer science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience.
Sarbanes-Oxley testing and documentation; Quality Assurance experience (process flows and documentation); able to follow structured test scripts; detailed oriented; ability to work with global cultures and flexibility to accommodate global time zones into work schedule.
