US employee entering data in a foreign accounting system 826

  • Yesterday, I saw in my french company’s accounting system that a US employee had booked some entries without telling me. Even though I work in a subsidiary of a US firm, I was wondering if this kind of interference was not forbiden by SOX in order to ensure a real segregation of duties and avoid any fraudulent entries.
My understanding of SOX is quite limited, but I am working on it so please be cool and let me know if my question needs further information or anything else.
