What keeps my firm from consulting for my husband's company? 2372

  • My firm was prepared to provide Facilities Consulting services to my husband’s company, a tech related, publicly held company. A conflict of interest (employee/relative) under the Sarbanes-Oxley act was cited as the reason they denied our proposal. Our consulting would represent 1-2% of the total costs associated with the design/engineering and build-out of their new space.%0AWhat portion of Sarbanes-Oxley would this fall under? Everything I read is accounting related. Are there any steps they or we can take that would enable us to still support his project?%0ATime is of the essence…Thanks.
